    Sodium monofluorophosphate, English abbreviation MFP, chemical formula Na2PO3F, molecular weight 143.95. Sodium monofluorophosphate is the white powder, soluble in water, and has a solubility of 42 g/100 g of water at room temperature. The pH 6.5 to 8.0 of the 20 g/L aqueous solution, which is close to neutral.

    Sodium monofluorophosphate is a recognized third-generation excellent anti-caries agent widely used in fluoride toothpaste additives, preservatives, fungicides, and drinking water fluoridation. It is not only less toxic than sodium fluoride, but also easily compatible with other abrasives. The amount added to the toothpaste is generally 0.76%.
