    SVHC Testing

      Since the establishment of REACH by EU in 2007, SVHC list keeps on updating. Related materials have wide influence in the product and processing methods in industries including mechanical, automobile, chemical engineering, civil engineering. By far, ECHA has published six batches of SVHCs candidate list, involving 73 substances. On 28 Feb, 2012, ECHA launched a public consultation on thirteen potential Substances of Very High Concern, once the seventh batch of SVHCs is adopted ,the substances on the candidate list would increase to 86.     PONY TIP:
             As the regulation constantly updates, there will be more harmful substances to be included in SVHC candidate list. EU strictly controls SVHC, which certainly will raise the export cost of home appliance, textile, toy and other industry. The notification of SVHC has become a obligation of exporters to certify the safety of their products. Therefore, with the impending requirement for the notification of SVHC, the relevant enterprises need to strengthen response to it. For export enterprises that their products has been confirmed to contain or may contain SVHC, Pony Testing suggests:

          Compared with SVHC list, get to know the character of own products export to EU, and test substances content in the products, and rule out the possibility that all the substances used may be defined as SVHC.
           Track and pay attention to the revision of AVHC list, strengthen to research REACH regulation and substances of very high concern identification standard and improve the testing capability of SVHC.
          predict the trend of SVHC list in future, establish perfect quality management system, choose environmental protection materials in product design and quicken industrial upgrading in structural design, and need to strengthen efforts to develop and seek safety alternative substances to harmful substances.
